what’s with the name?
JT87 is the branding for the things I make, share, and offer. It currently encompasses lyric and music videos, graphic design projects, and tech support/repair but the limit is only what I am willing to take on! Due to JT87 being primarily a hobby, my prices for outside work are considerably lower than Staples, Best Buy, or other specialized firms.

My logo is a design that I am actually quite proud of. It is centered on a blue border which surrounds a white field and a series of seemingly random dotted lines. These lines in actuality represent some of the various neighborhoods I have lived in:
- my childhood home in Burlington
- my first apartment in Cedar Rapids after high school graduation
- the campus of Multnomah University
- various apartments around the Portland metro area
- our neighborhood in Woodland.
The purpose for having these places represented was to illustrate the importance of my past experiences and, if you haven’t guessed already, this is a central theme of the 2020Mirror.
The “JT87” in the center of the design has two simple meanings: I was born in 1987 and, for a period of time, I went by the nickname JT exclusively. There is more to say on that – if you’d like to read about it, click here.
My desire is not to build an business empire but to simply leave a mark. When I place JT87 on a finished project, it is a tiny “yopp” let out by someone very small in a very big world.
To appropriate Dr Seuss’ Horton Hears A Who:
“I am here!”
